Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)
Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) refers to how responsibly and sustainably a company as a whole conducts its business and generates its income, measured by its corporate commitment to social and environmental issues.
A not-for-profit organization, the AAA-ICDR®’s dedication to ESG allows it in turn to make a collective impact on its stakeholders--the public, the courts, its panelists, and its employees.
SUSTAINABILITY: “Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” (The U.N. Brundtland Commission, 1987) The AAA-ICDR’s widened approach to sustainability makes it a company-wide part of corporate culture.
To that end, the AAA-ICDR incorporates the values of the World Economic Forum on Principles of Governance, Planet, People, and Prosperity1, the United Nations Sustainable Developmental Goals2, and the Gallup Sustainability 5 (GS5) Index3 that includes the voice of AAA employees via five questions regarding their treatment at work.
